Bill Lambert

Bill Lambert, MayorMayor Bill Lambert was elected as Mayor in November of 2013 and took office in January of 2014.  He cares deeply about the community of Moscow, where he has lived and served since 1977.  Mayor Lambert has a strong personal interest and love for both the community and the University of Idaho.  The Mayor moved to Moscow in 1977 and continued his career working at Safeway; where he has worked for more than 36 years. He and his wife raised their two boys in Moscow, both of whom are still in Moscow.

 

Mayor Lambert has served the community for several years starting with the Moscow Planning and Zoning Commission for nearly five years starting in August 2001, followed by serving as a Moscow City Councilmember from 2006 to 2009, with two of those years serving as Council President. He also served most recently on the City’s Board of Adjustment from August 2010 to December 2013, with two of those years of service as board chair.  Mayor Lambert also serves as a 30+ year member of the Moscow Elks and has spent several years volunteering on the United Way Board.

 

Mayor Lambert describes himself as a community man – and is here to serve the community.
