Badging Requirements & Information

General Aviation Security

Make your next flight hassle-free by familiarizing yourself with security at Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport. In compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements, the airport has implemented the following security procedures. Badging, fingerprinting, and training are available through the Airport Administration Office. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and must be scheduled in advance. Please call 509-338-3223 ext. 102 to schedule an appointment.

Airport Operations Area (AOA) – General Aviation Identification Badges

All prospective badge holders requiring unescorted access must demonstrate airport operational need and must complete an agreement for a criminal history records check. Badges will be issued upon approval of results. If any disqualifying crimes are revealed, badges will not be issued. Badges will only be programmed for those gates for which there is documented aviation operational need. AOA badges must be kept on your person while in the secured General Aviation Area. AOA badges are good for 12 months. Reissue of an AOA badge requires an STA (security threat assessment). The fee is $35.

Security Identification Display Area (SIDA)

All prospective badge holders requiring unescorted access to the Commercial ramp, SIDA, or Sterile areas of the Airport, must complete an agreement for a criminal history records check and be fingerprinted. Badges will be issued upon approval of results. If any disqualifying crimes are revealed, badges will not be issued. SIDA badges must be worn visibly above the waist. SIDA badges are good for 24 months. Reissue of a SIDA badge requires fingerprinting and a criminal history records check. The fee is $70.

Items to Bring

Your completed Badging Application 2021-01-01 and two forms of ID: At least one of the two forms of identification must have been issued by a government authority, and at least one must include a photo (PUW airport badges are not an acceptable form of identification).

General Aviation Escort Policy

In accordance with TSA badging requirements valid General Aviation badge holders may escort any person except those who have had a Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport badge invalidated by cause or expiration, or who do not possess their valid issued badge when accessing the secured General Aviation Area. Escorts must, at all times, be in a position to actively monitor, direct and control the movements and actions of accompanied person(s) and/or vehicles.
